Polk County Blueberry Festival Art Showcase

The Polk County Blueberry Festival is excited to host a Blue Ribbon Art Show during the festival. This Art Show will showcase local artists from all over the county in a variety of categories. Novice and professionals alike are encouraged to apply to this free art show. The theme is “blue”, so you can really go any direction with it!

 

We are accepting submissions in the following categories:

  • Fiber Arts – including but not limited to quilting, cross stitch, crochet, etc.

  • 2D (not including photography) – including but not limited to painting, illustration, linocuts, etc.

  • 3D – including but not limited to ceramics, sculpture, miniatures, etc.

  • Photography

  • Youth – Any medium, ages 18 and under.

 

Submissions must be smaller than 24x24 and less than 20 lbs. All works must come framed/ready to display.

 

A panel of local judges will review all submitted work and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded for each category. One Best in Show will also be awarded.

 

All submitted works will be displayed at the Polk County Blueberry Festival in downtown Auburndale on April 11th from 10 am to 8 pm.

 

Applications must be submitted by April 1st.

2026 Polk County Blueberry Festival Art Showcase Rules & Regulations:


  1. Absolutely no AI is permitted in the Artist Showcase.

  2. One entry per category is allowed per artist.

  3. Entries must have been created within the past calendar year (2026).

  4. The event has limited space to display entries. We may cut off entries once the space limitation has been filled.

  5. Artist must drop off entry at the Destroyer Media Offices at 326 Ave C SW, Winter Haven, FL 33880 April 6th - 9th from 8 am to 4 pm. Work must be picked up April 14th - 16th from 8 am to 4 pm. No exhibits will be released early. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Polk County's Blueberry Festival will not be responsible for articles not picked up, and will dispose of any articles or exhibits left after 4 pm on April 16.

  6. Display Info Cards will be filled out by the artist on the days exhibits are accepted. No changes will be allowed after exhibits have been entered for competition. 

  7. All reasonable efforts will be exercised to prevent damage, theft, or accident of any kind to entries. However, Polk County's Blueberry Festival, Destroyer Media & Marketing, and their volunteers will assume no responsibility for damage or theft of any entries before, during, and after the event.

  8. Judges’ decisions are final. All entries are judged individually by an independent panel of judges.

  9. If it is ascertained that an exhibitor has made any false statements in regard to any article or exhibit or interfered with the judges in the performance of their duties, the exhibitor shall be excluded from competition.

  10. Polk County's Blueberry Festival reserves the right to reject any exhibit offered if it is objectionable in any way, if it requires excessive space, or if the capacity of a category has been reached. Disqualified items will be rejected and not displayed.

  11. Anyone participating in this contest by way of entry hereby agrees and consents to the use of any picture of the contestant and their entry in any or all publications, TV, publicity brochure, Internet, etc., that Polk County's Blueberry Festival may desire.
